Despite facing much criticism for his business practices, Bryan “Baby” Williams built the premier record company in Cash Money Records which launched in the early ’90s. However, nothing was given. Baby and his brother, Ronald “Slim” Williams, hail from the ghetto of New Orleans, had to build it from scratch. He gives us his rags to riches story in his new documentary: Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story. As the first topic under the Movie Debate category, this is definitely worthy of a discussion.
If you’re a longtime Cash Money fan like myself, you’d find this documentary to be informative and validating. For example, Baby made a reference to the death of his parents in past songs like Big Tymers’ “Big Tymers,” a track from their 2000 release, I Got That Work.

“My momma’s dead, my daddy’s dead. My brother’s a dope fiend, I’m duckin’ the Fed,” Baby raps. In the doc, through he, family, and friends, Birdman reveal the cause and impact both parents had on him and his community before their untimely deaths.
As we all know, Birdman has a passion for excessive whips. According to a childhood friend, that didn’t start when he got into the music business.
“I can recall him having a fascination with cars in his early teens. By the time he was 16, he had 7 cars,” childhood friend says.

Narrated by Stunna, him alongside family and friends cosigns him as the hustler he rapped about. Its clear that he definitely got it out of the mud. #MovieDebate
