DJ Akademiks brought up an interesting point during a recent sit down with Vlad from VladTV. The vlogger stated that Kanye West will be the biggest Hip Hop artist ever.
“Kanye is all time — will go down as more legendary than Drake,” Akademiks says. “Kanye is, Kanye if not one, is number two. Best Hip Hop artist of all time!”

When Vlad ask does he stick to his guns in comparison to Jay-Z?

When Vlad asked him to expound, Ak made it clear he wasn’t speaking in terms rapping ability. In fact, he reiterated that Kanye is not as great of a rapper as Jay or Drake. He’s more so speaking on artistry and how influential he’s been to the culture.
Other legendary rappers name got thrown in the mix too such as the late-2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. However, they were exempt from the conversation due to their careers being short-lived because of their untimely deaths.
No stone was left unturned. Later in the interview, Vlad and Akedemiks factored in Ye and Jay’s fashion influences as well.
It’s safe to say Ye have multiple classic albums just like his “Big Brother.” Now, exactly how many each have is for another debate. However, regarding fashion, I think it’s indisputable. Ye has clearly had more influence on fashion than Hov. But getting back to the original question…
