T.I.’s ‘Trap Muzik’ or Gucci Mane’s ‘Trap House’?

Let’s hop in the box-body Chevy and go straight to the Atlanta’s Trap with this debate. T.I.’s Trap Muzik or Gucci Mane’s Trap House? Let’s chop it up.

Tip’s album left the Trap first, so we’ll begin with that one. Released in 2003, Trap Muzik had mass appeal. It spawned hits “24’s,” “Be Easy,” “Rubber Band Man,” and “Let’s Get Away.” All but one (“Be Easy”) reaching US Billboard Hot 100.

Trap Muzik debuted at number 4 on the US Billboard 200 and number 2 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

Gucci’s Trap House came in two years later. It was a little more gritty than Trap Muzik. It didn’t have the mass appeal, but he had the streets.

“So Icey,” a collaborative track with Jeezy before the fallen out, and “Go Head” were on this album.

Some of Atlanta’s most solid producers produced for this project such as Shawty Redd, Zaytoven, and Nitti

Trap House peaked at 20 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and number 5 on the US Top Independent Albums charts.

These are not just regular albums, these are banging trap albums in which both played a significant role in the Trap movement. Which one was the best though?
