Eazy E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, and DJ Yella, collectively known as N****z With Attitudes or N.W.A., is considered one the most influential groups in Hip Hop.
What appeared to be just homies from the hood turned out to be an all-star cast. Dre and Yella were geniuses at producing and mixing while Cube and Ren were the masterminds behind the lyrics (so was The D.O.C. but officially not a member). And of course, you have Eazy, the group’s orchestrater and front man.

“The world most dangerous group” produced several hit projects such as Straight Outta Compton, EP 100 Miles and Runnin and Efil4zaggin.
Like most groups in Hip Hop, the Compton natives would part ways with Ice Cube being the first to go. A few years later, Dr. Dre would ask for his walking papers as well. There were talks of the group getting back together but those plans were brought to a halt due to Eazy E’s untimely death in 1995.
In 2016, the group would be acknowledged for their contributions to music when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Although they were considered legends by the Hip Hop community well before that, being an inductee sealed the deal across the board.
Of course, all five were collectively responsible, but which member played the biggest role in the group’s success? Maybe that’s an unfair question because they were all major contributors. So, I’ll do one better, who was your favorite member?
