There’s much excitement in the air since the word hit the net that Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-One, and Kool G Rap could be forming a Hip Hop super group. Aside from all four being supreme lyricists, it would be epic considering many thought the former two didn’t see eye to eye back in the day.
But according to Biz Markie, there was never a problem. How would he know? Well, because he linked them up.
“Nah, it was never a battle,” Biz told Charleston City Paper back in 2015. “And the funny thing is I was in a group with Rakim. I introduced Kane to Rakim.”
Also, Biz brings clarity to a line from his classic, “Pickin Boogars.”
“Just last night, when Kane was gettin’ ready,” Biz raps. “I slipped a little green one inside his spaghetti.”
Was there some truth behind it?
