Why Play?

Before we go into a big spill of how to play, let’s talk about why you should play! Puzzles have great benefits. They help strengthen concentration and memory skills. In addition, they play an important part in keeping up with mental health and brain activity. In addition, they are great brain teasers where you give your brain a perfect workout.

And oh yeah, all this while having fun!

Crossword

Crossword Puzzles are the more recognizable game. It consists of a grid of squares and blanks into which words crossing vertically and horizontally are written according to clues.

Word Search

A word search puzzle is a combination of meaningful letters in a grid. These set of words can be found horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The goal is to find the list of words hidden in the grid with other letters.

Cryptogram

Cryptogram puzzles are based on short piece of encrypted text where the cipher is generally used to encrypt the phrase or a message. These puzzles are one of the fun and interactive word games where cryptograms are encoded with single transposition key, where one letter is mapped for another.

Honestly, solving such puzzles requires educated guesses. You need to take the encoded message, figure out what letters are substituted and the meaning of the cryptogram using the word patterns. Keep guessing the message ideas until you solve the secret.

Multiple Puzzles

Multiple Puzzles or Double Puzzles consist of unscrambling a list of shuffled words to meaningful words. Then use letters from those words to decode the final phrase. The letters for the final phrase can be numbered, making the Multiple Puzzle slightly easier to solve.

Mazes

A maze is a network of paths where there is a start and destination point. The players have to find a correct way from starting point to destination point.

Sudoku

Sudoku is played on a grid of 9×9 spaces. Within the rows and columns are 9 “squares” made up of 3×3 spaces. Each row, column and square — 9 spaces each — needs to be filled out with the numbers 1-9, without repeating any numbers within the row, column or square.
