Gucci Mane has beefed with a laundry list of rappers since dropping “Icy” in 2005. However, Jeezy is the more notable one. Supposedly, the two buried the hatchet when they participated in the Verzuz battle in 2020. However, a line in “Rumors,” a recent release, featuring Lil Durk, has raised some questions.

As many would remember, Gucci was charged with the murder of Jeezy’s friend and rap associate, Henry “Pookie Loc” Lee Clark III in 2005. Some think the line was an apparent slight towards Jeezy, while some say it was simply evidence of PTSD. Either way, the line prompted a question: would Gucci Mane be a prominent artist without controversy or all the beefs throughout his career?
Gucci Mane has been a mainstay in Hip Hop for nearly 20 years. The longevity could be accredited to an extensive catalog — perhaps, a dope catalog depending upon on who you ask. However, if we were to examine Guwop’s time in the game, we would see it was a standard procedure for him to throw shots at one of his rap enemies prior to dropping a mixtape or an album. In fact, I recall when Gucci went on an infamous twitter rant dissing dam near EVERYBODY in the industry. Then a month or two later, he announce the release of his new album: The State Vs Radric Davis: The Caged Bird Sings.
