It seems that Chris Brown is making an effort to let everyone know that he wasn’t involved in the Suge Knight shooting. Brown has had his fair share of run ins with the law, but he’s never been involved in a shooting before. Hopefully, that continues to stay the case. By all accounts, Brown has tried to work on his anger issues and has even come back into the spotlight after a brief hiatus. But bad publicity here could draw him back into the shadows. Here is the statement that Brown representatives released to Billboard.
“Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred,” Brown’s rep told Billboard. “This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation.”
The mayor of West Hollywood has already spoken on the incident, and time will tell if there are any new facts for law enforcement to review. Suge Knight was shot 6 times but is expected to make a full recovery. Right now, it doesn’t sound like Brown is going to get in any trouble from this one.
