It feels like Mannie Fresh has been away from the spotlight for a long time. And maybe he has. But that doesn’t mean he’s lost the trust of some of hip hop’s biggest stars. Lil Wayne is now working with Mannie Fresh on his newest studio album, the Carter V. Mannie Fresh talked about working with Lil Wayne and even what he thought about where the new Wayne album would rank.
“We got great chemistry,” Fresh says in an interview with HipHopDX’s Andre Grant. “We’ve always been A-100 with each other, regardless of what was going on with me and Cash Money or whatever. We just picked up where we left off and we’re doing music. That’s what we’re doing now.”
“I’ma leave that one up to the people,” the producer says. “I just know how to do good music. I don’t know how to tell nobody this is the best album ever. I will let the people judge that.”
